If you have discovered that you have candida then you are not alone. It is estimated that 70% of the western population has some level of candida infection. The problem is that if left untreated it can grow and spread throughout your body. The fungus uses the blood stream to spread spores and set up more fungal colonies in any of your vital organs. Most people firstly turn to help from their doctors. If you are lucky enough to have a doctor that recognises the problem of candida he will most likely prescribe some anti fungal medication and a restrictive candida diet to reduce the symptoms. The problem is that prescriptions are becoming less and less effective as the fungus has become more tolerant to them.
The simple candida diet is a
good choice for limiting the symptoms of candida but it is not a cure. By
starving the fungus you are merely putting it into a hibernation state. This is
an ok solution for short spells but as soon as you come off the diet the fungus
will immediately flare up. Now many people are trying new treatment options
such as chitin synthesis inhibitor which destroys the fungus capability to put
up a wall that the immune system cannot penetrate.
